Spring has definitely sprung at Mount Ephraim Gardens

Swale Tourism
21st March 2022

Read about the latest from Mount Ephraim Gardens as Lucy at Mount Ephraim Gardens provides her latest news article for sharing.

"Spring has definitely sprung in the gardens and there are signs of life everywhere but most prolific are the daffodils, which have burst into life in the past few days. It really is a sign of brighter things to come, a heartening sight in these troubled times, and we are looking forward to welcoming our visitors back for the new season on 1st April. In line with latest guidance we will be Covid restriction free, but rest assured we will maintain our thorough cleaning and sanitising regimes.

Whilst the gardens may have gone to sleep since our last newsletter, we’ve kept ourselves busy over the winter period! We have a few changes this year including a new guide book for visitors, new planting in the rock garden, a revamped small play area in the maze and a new website on its way and due to be launched in April.

We've also had some staff changes and were sad that Amy, our Tea Room and Accommodation Manager, decided to leave the business in February. We thank her for all her hard work over the years and wish her all the best for the future. However, we are delighted to welcome Luke and Erin to the team who joined us last week. They look forward to cooking up some tasty treats in the tea room and giving all of our accommodation guests here a very warm welcome.
Finally, I recently came across this quote from American gardening author Ruth Stout, and personally, I couldn’t agree more: “I love Spring anywhere, but if I could choose I would always greet it in a garden”. We look forward to greeting you in the gardens this Spring!

Play area revamped at Mount Ephraim Gardens

We hope families will enjoy our new small play area in the maze created by family member Sasha along with her friend Conon, using all of the wood from the felled copper beech. Take on the spiral stepping stones, enjoy a sit on the tractor (or is it a racing car) and hunt for bugs in the bug hotel.
