Work on the restoration of the Sheerness Clocktower continues as Smith of Derby progress with the strip down to components. Below are the latest images from the workshop, showing these component parts ready to be bead blasted, prior to their zinc coating
Update from Sheerness
If you have visited Sheerness in last week, you will have noticed the installation of the interpretation panels and graphics on the timber hoarding surrounding the clocktower site. The panels show a timeline of the clocktowers history, images from years gone by, alongside details of its restoration.
The boards also include a QR code linking you to these blogs for the most up to date information and images of its restoration.
