Facilities

Remember to contact the club/organisation before you attend to ask any questions you have on their activities.

Background to Swimming...

The activity of Swimming is to move yourself through water, whether its an indoor or outdoor pool or open water; mainly for sport and recreation but it is also a survival skill. There are variations of styles or strokes to swim through the water and its an activity for all levels.

Generally its an individual activity but Swimming Clubs do exisit to help train and organise events for participants, individuals can then compete on behalf of the club and also in a team relay.

Most swimming pools will have links to clubs but also offer recreation sessions for all to take part.

COVID-19

All activities offered by clubs overseen by a National Governing Body will be required to adhere to new procedures to protect participants. Swim England is working with Sport England to support providers to get back to activities.
