Opportunities in Swale...

There are a number of clubs and organisations providing opportunities in Swale -

Remember to contact the club/organisation before you attend to ask any questions you have on their activities.

Background to Bowls...

A form of Bowls has been played going back 600-700 years with various versions still being played across the world, most commonly in England we have Lawn and Short Mat Bowls.

Generally played on a 'Green' or 'Mat' the common trait is a smaller ball or Jack is positioned or bowled first to create a target and then individuals, pairs or teams then take turns to get their balls or bowls as close to the target as possible.

Like all activities there is more to the skill and the clubs and organisations that offer opportunities will provide for all levels of ability with Regional, National and International competition level available.

COVID-19

All activities offered by clubs overseen by a National Governing Body will be required to adhere to new procedures to protect participants. Bowls England is working with Sport England to support providers to get back to activities.
