Providing information on the range of healthy activities and adventures available in Swale.
For many of us the words healthy and active bring to mind images of running marathons and sticking to our 5 a day. In reality though being health and active is more about our personal journeys towards keeping our minds and bodies as healthy as we are able to by engaging in activities that keep our minds active and our bodies moving.
In Swale we are fortunate that there is a diverse range of activities available to us. Our natural landscape affords us with various opportunities to spend time outdoors engaging in activities for free. Be it exploring our beaches, having a family day out at a local park or taking advantage of our cycling and walking routes.
In each area of the borough there are also a number of small charity groups who run a range of low cost/free activities. More details of these can be found in the links at the bottom of this page. These groups can be a great way to try something new in a supportive and friendly environment. If you are looking to take part in a specific activity or sport there are a number of leisure centres and sports clubs throughout the borough the details of which can also be found in the links below.
We really are confident that there is something for everyone in Swale and we love hearing about the different groups and activities that are on offer.
If you would like us to feature a blog about an activity that you run or take part in please get in touch with us at tourismsupport@swale.gov.uk
