The Mill Skatepark is situated in the middle of Sittingbourne retail park, close to the train station and local shops and food outlets. The park offers opportunity for both novice and experienced skateboard users, scooters and BMX bikes to practice and improve and display their skills. The park welcomes families and has benches for their members to sit and watch their children practice.
During holiday periods Vibe Community, part of The Brogdale CIC Group provides youth activities such as graffiti artist, skate displays and training sessions. The park is part manned with youth workers on site part time to interact with young people and listen to their points of view and offer support and guidance when needed.
The site also has a post 16 specialist provider college delivering creative urban arts to a small group of young people who are interested in street art.
