Minster Gatehouse Museum will be opening on Wednesdays and Saturdays 2.00 till 4.30 starting 19th May. There is new, better lighting in the museum and a delightful Spring garden outside with a bench (2 soon) to sit and admire the view over the Swale. 

It is the Museum Committees intention to make sure anyone visiting the Gatehouse is perfectly safe, so, please bear with us and understand the limitations the Covid 19 has forced us to apply. -----Thanks".

General Information

Minster Gatehouse Museum is housed in a 1000 year old grade 1 listed building adjacent to the historic Minster Abbey. Local artefacts with connections to the Isle Of Sheppey, fossils and a view from the roof are just some of the attractions. Displays of the beginning of aviation, floods on Sheppey and Dickens' connection to the island are among a wealth of local items in this little treasure house.

Saturdays and Wednesdays 2pm - 4.30pm starting May 19th Regrettably because of the age and size of the building, the museum is not suitable for disabled persons.
